Information for Parents
A Supportive Environment
Tennessee Junior High Rollers is committed to providing a positive, structured environment where children feel encouraged and supported. Our league emphasizes respect, sportsmanship, and personal growth, helping bowlers build confidence both on and off the lanes.
Coach Screening & Safety Standards
All Tennessee Junior High Rollers coaches are Sports Safe–certified through the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). This certification ensures that our coaches meet national standards for youth safety, conduct, and supervision.
Coaches are trained to provide age-appropriate instruction in a positive, structured environment while prioritizing the safety and well-being of every child.
To protect our youth bowlers and families, all TJHR coaches meet the following USBC requirements:
• Completion of USBC Sports Safe training, which includes education on child protection, appropriate conduct, and recognizing/reporting misconduct
• National background screening as required by USBC
• Agreement to follow the USBC SafeSport and Code of Conduct guidelines
These requirements help ensure that our league provides a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants.
Beginner Friendly
No prior bowling experience is required to join TJHR. Beginners are welcomed and supported, and equipment assistance is available as needed. Our goal is to help every child feel comfortable and successful, regardless of their starting point.
Expectations & Sportsmanship
TJHR promotes respectful behavior, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Bowlers are encouraged to support one another, listen to instruction, and take pride in their effort and improvement.
Parents are asked to support these values by encouraging positive attitudes and respectful behavior during league play.
Communication with Families
We believe clear communication is important. Parents will receive updates related to league schedules, announcements, and special activities throughout the season.
At Tennessee Junior High Rollers, we view parents as partners in helping young bowlers grow with confidence and pride.
